I sound like steak
Somebody called today and asked a question and then before he hung up, he asked me where I was from. I told him I was from Maryland.
He said, "Wow! It's been over three years since I've heard that accent!"
Apparently my accent also reminded him of a variety of long-missed Stateside items because his next sentence was: "And I'm really craving a prime rib."

That's hilarious. I guess it's better that he didn't say "crab(s)" -- because that can be taken in so many ways. Yikes.

I love when people make random comments about your locale. One time, I got "Yeah, jello is really good" when I mentioned a lot of old people live in my area.
